FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What Classes Do You Teach?

Stop Emotional Eating Course:

Emotional eating is eating, not out of hunger, but to try to solve for something we are feeling. This may be boredom, anxiety, stress or overwhelm. We may not know why we do this, but know we weigh more than we want, know we eat more than we want and feel stressed most of the time. The reality is that we emotionally eat because for much of our lives it worked - if only for the short term. We feel bad, and we turn to food because it feels good. But this coping is not a long-term solution. It’s time for something different. Time to uplevel! We’ll learn the simple and effective skills of emotional strength and resilience, so that we become more empowered and capable in our own lives. Overeating is often an underfeeling problem. Feeling your feelings may sound indulgent, time-consuming or overwhelming, but the skill of emotional intelligence can be a game changer in your life. We’ll look at the difference between your thoughts and circumstances, your emotions, your actions and the results you may want - or want to avoid in your life. This doesn’t take hours - it takes understanding and awareness and will increase the amount of energy and joy you feel each day.

Weight Loss and Well-Being

This class includes much of the information from the emotional eating class, but focuses more exclusively on health goals like weight loss. If you want to lose any amount of weight, and also increase your mental health, join us for a supportive community that focuses more on how you want to live your life and what works for you, rather than a generic diet plan that doesn’t last. We’ll talk about what we eat and drink, but also changing habits around exercise and sleep so we can start to live the life we really want, rather than focus so much on what our body looks like. This is a six-week class, so you can learn something each class, practice it during the week and then get support on what worked and what didn’t during the next class.

Befriend Your Nervous System

Understanding how your body reacts to stress is a game-changer when it comes to mental health. This class help you learn about your individual nervous system and cultivating resilience in your life and body. We specifically address overwhelm and practice both in-the-moment tools to help with your stress response and also out-of-the-moment self-care. This is a two week class: the first week focuses on learning the tools and the second weeks focuses on what worked for you and what didn’t so you can take customized, life-changing tools to become more calm and confident in daily life.

How To Talk To Yourself

Many of us have an inner critic, a voice inside that can be demanding, judgement, perfectionistic or even mean. Or maybe you struggle with worry and anxiety, and that takes up more of our mental energy than you want. If you struggle with negative self-talk or just want to improve your relationship with yourself so that you can actually enjoy life and have more energy, join us to learn about your inner parts, what their good intentions are and how to transform an inner critic or worrier into your best advocate.
